Hospital Administrator - This position will be responsible to the directors and project head. We are a newly licensed as Level 4 hospital in Kenya under the brand “Meditrina”, an Indian innovative multispecialty private hospital with 9 facilities across all India and the Maldives. This position is tenable in Kenya, at Olare, Homa Bay in the outskirts of Homa Bay town, about 10 Km from town centre along Homa Bay – Kisumu high way.
 

• Duties and responsibilities
• Handling of day-day operations of the facility & Preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly progress reports.
• Strategy and implement the short-term, mid-term and long term goals of the organization
• Revenue generation with structured sales and marketing plan,
• Coordinating staff schedules
• Recruitment and retention of qualified and competent staff.
• Ensure that the hospital runs efficiently and delivers quality patient care.
• Create financial and business strategies to ensure the fiscal viability of the hospital.
• Ensuring maintenance of facility health records
• Addressing the needs of doctors, nurses and other staff members
• Ensuring the facility follows ministry of health laws and regulations
• Serve as a liaison among governing boards, medical staff, and department managers.
• Organize, control, and coordinate services as per the hospital board regulations.
• Perform all duties within set organizational and government regulations.
• Oversee the development and implementation of programs and policies for patient services, quality assurance, public relations, and department activities.
• Evaluate personnel and prepare daily reports.
• Authorize admissions/treatment as per agreed protocols.
• Ensure that stock levels are adequate and orders are made on time.
• Communicate medical results to patients under clinical supervision.
• Guide in sett operational standards in the hospital.
• Perform any other tasks that may be assigned by the project head from time to time.

 

• Required qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Business Administration or Healthcare from a recognized institution.
• Master’s degree in Health Administration or Business Administration, or Strategic Management or Public Health will be added advantage.
• 4 years’ experience in a healthcare facility as a Hospital Administrator or in a Senior Management position.
• Good knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare environment.
• Working knowledge of healthcare Systems obtained in a Hospital set up.
